Why I Need a Dog House Air Conditioner / Dog House Heater

Is your dog soiling your carpet and chewing every piece of furniture you own?

Then it is time to get your dog his own house but most people will not leave their best friend outside in the dangerous heat and cold.  If this is you then you are about to witness a miracle!  There is a new product on the market that is a dog house air conditioner and dog house heater combination unit that is easily installed on any dog house.

Most dogs would love to be able to be outside where they can run and play and to chase the birds and squirrels all day long or whenever you are away; but the problem is the extreme temperatures that are a daily occurrance no matter where you live.  Pet owners have been searching for solutions as to what to do with their beloved pets while they are away and now the answer is simple because your dog will have his own house where he can take refuge, a place that he can call his own.  You can decorate your dogs house, make sure it is comfortable and a place he loves to go.  Be sure to make your dogs house clean and inviting with his very own pet bed, toys, fresh water etc. and this will give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your dog is comfortabe, happy and protected from the elements.

Just think of all the money you will save by not having to continually replace your carpet and your furniture, this in itself will pay for your dogs house and all the accessories ten times over.  Consider this an investment in your dogs happiness and yours an investment that will pay you back for years to come!

Dog Behavior - Thoughts on Training Equipment

I no longer require that students starting classes purchase specific equipment.  Sure there are things that I like and believe will make the teams learning progress faster.  I had a little epiphany when I realized that people were buying recommended equipment but never used it outside of class.  Now I tell new students that they are welcome to bring whatever equipment they have been using on their dog.  I then make a suggestion of what might work better for managing the dogs behavior and often have a tool handy so that we can experiment in the class. I find compliance is a lot better if people decide for themselves that something works.

Some thoughts on Crate Training a Dog

Many dog owners ask if crate training a dog is cruel?

My own experience has shown that crate training can be done with great sensitivity and caring! When you bring a new puppy home, you are already aware that you have taken on a new responsibility. The first few weeks will involve waking up many times during the night to let your new family member outside. This is not as bad as it sounds, since it will only last a few weeks.

Time spent with in home dog training of your puppy during this first few weeks will mean a lot to both family and puppy. It is during this time that the puppy will be forming lasting memories.

Concerns About Crate Training a Dog

I came upon a post, by Dan Waser,  that sums up a lot of the points of crate training. Like you, I was concerned about putting our puppy into a crate. The crate actually simulates a "den" for the puppy!

Dog Crate Training - Is It Cruel?

Dog training takes on many different forms. For some, it is only a matter of going through basic obedience training and teaching your dog how to do things such as sit, come on command and stay. For others, however, it really goes a lot further than that. A good example of this is if you need to do some dog crate training. There are a number of different reasons why you might want to train your dog to stay in a crate. Here are some of the reasons why you might want to do so and the easiest way for you to get started.
